The scorching summer doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon, so I thought I’d put together a list of some cool outfit ideas for you. Not that I’m a fashion expert, but I’ve been noticing a few trends that are absolutely everywhere this summer. I’ve made a list of pieces that actually make sense from everything I’ve been seeing around and exploring on shopping websites.
Honestly, this season is all about comfort and linen. Pair almost anything with linen pants or a linen top, and you’re good to go. Summer fashion this year feels simple, effortless, and I love it for that.
Anything that makes your skin feel fresh and lets it breathe is a good choice. So, if you’re wondering what’s actually worth adding to your wardrobe this season, here are my favourite summer styling ideas.
Linen & More Linen

If there’s one thing I’d tell you to invest in this summer, it has to be linen. I genuinely don’t think I’ve seen a brand that isn’t selling it right now. From shirts, dresses and skirts to shorts, co-ord sets, night suits, and even bathrobes—linen is literally everywhere.
And, I get the hype. It’s lightweight, breathable, and exactly what you want to wear when stepping out in this heat. The best part is that even the simplest linen outfit somehow looks chic and a little expensive without trying too hard. This trend has been ruling wardrobes for a while now, and I’m pretty sure it’ll continue to be a summer favourite for years to come.
Co-ords Aren’t Going Anywhere

I don’t think co-ords are going anywhere anytime soon, and, I’m not complaining either. They’ve been around for a while now, but this season, the variety is what really caught my eye. Every time I scroll through any shopping website, almost every outfit comes with a matching piece. It’s like everything has its own perfect pair.
There are linen co-ords, satin sets, crop top and skirt combinations, printed styles—you name it. I totally get why women love them. They’re comfortable, stylish, and take away the headache of figuring out what goes with what.
That said, you don’t always have to buy a whole co-ord set to look put together. If you’ve already got some basics in your wardrobe, a simple styling trick can completely change the look of an outfit—and that’s exactly what I noticed next.
The Waist Scarf Trend

Scarves tied around the waist with jeans, skirts, or even dresses are something that has really caught my attention this season. I personally love this trend because, well, it cleverly hides my little belly (wink!). But jokes apart, it instantly adds so much personality to an outfit. Even the simplest jeans and T-shirt or a plain dress can suddenly look thoughtfully styled and a lot more expensive. The best part? Scarves are far more budget-friendly than buying new dresses or co-ord sets, and they’re versatile. One scarf can completely change the look of so many outfits already available in your wardrobe, and I absolutely love that.
Speaking of trends making a comeback, there’s one that took me back to my childhood.
Hello Again, Capris

The late ’90s and early 2000s were all about capris. Denim capris, cotton capris, capri leggings—we’ve all (or at least most of us women) worn a pair at some point in our childhood. Well, guess what? They’re back in style, just with a little update. Unlike the ones we grew up wearing, today’s capris are much simpler, with clean cuts and no embroidery or flashy details.
I own a pair, and I have to admit, they make me look a little taller. Personally, though, I feel capris look best on leaner body types. That doesn’t mean curvier or chubbier girls should avoid them at all—it just means styling becomes even more important. Pair them with the right top and footwear, and they can look incredibly chic on anyone.
And if capris aren’t your thing, there’s another bottomwear trend that’s just as hard to ignore this summer.
The Cool Cropped Pants

Cropped pants— Almost every celebrity seems to be wearing them, right alongside capris and linen outfits. They look just as chic with a structured blazer as they do with a simple cami top, although a cami and cropped pants would always be my personal choice.
What I’ve noticed this summer is that every trend seems to be connected. There are linen outfits, then linen cropped pants, cropped pants paired with matching tops as co-ord sets, and scarves styled beautifully over them. Everything blends so effortlessly with everything else.
While cropped pants are cool, there’s one wardrobe staple that somehow works with almost every trend I’ve mentioned so far.
The Striped Shirt Obsession

Trust me, I’m wearing one as I write this! Oversized striped shirts are one summer staple that I genuinely believe will never go out of style. Every single summer, if there’s one piece you can count on for an effortless, put-together look, it’s a striped shirt.
This season, thin stripes seem to be having a bigger moment, but honestly, if it’s an oversized shirt, I’m sold. What I also find interesting is that while bold colours aren’t really the highlight of most summer trends this year, striped shirts are the one exception. Throw one over jeans, linen pants, shorts, or even wear it as a layering piece over a tank top, and you’re good to go.
Of course, no outfit is complete without the right pair of shoes.
Meet Mesh Ballet & Thong Slippers

This season, mesh ballet flats and thong slippers have easily become my go-to favourites. They perfectly match this season’s vibe while making even the simplest outfit look stylish without trying too hard. I absolutely love the mesh ballet flats from Zara, but, I’ve spotted some equally cute options in local street markets too.
They pair beautifully with linen outfits, cropped pants, skirts, and even your favourite pair of jeans. But if I had to pick one combination that I’m obsessed with this season, it would definitely be thong sandles styled with capris and a crisp white shirt. It’s simple, timeless, and gives that luxury feel to summer fashion 2026.
And finally, let’s talk about the one thing that quietly ties every trend together—colour.
Color Crush—White, Butter Yellow & Chocolate Brown

Talking about summer style without mentioning colours? That just can’t happen here.
By now, I think we can all agree that the colours of the season are butter yellow and chocolate brown. At least, that’s what this summer has been all about. Put almost anything in these shades—a dress, a co-ord set, a bag, or even shoes—and chances are it’ll sell out. Trust me!
Butter yellow and chocolate brown look surprisingly beautiful together too. While window shopping for this very blog, I noticed that almost every other brand had entire collections dedicated to these two colours. It was impossible to miss.
Of course, white continues to be the ultimate summer classic. It’s one colour that never leaves the summer fashion conversation. But this season, butter yellow and chocolate brown have definitely joined the list, bringing a fresh, twist to warm-weather dressing.
If I had to sum up this summer’s fashion in just a few words, it would be this: linen, capris, cropped pants, matching tops, oversized striped shirts, mesh ballet flats, thong slippers, butter yellow, chocolate brown, and above all—comfort.
So, whether you’re investing in a linen co-ord, tying a scarf around your waist, or slipping into your favourite pair of mesh flats, wear what makes you feel confident. After all, the best trend you’ll ever follow is your own personal style.
